Description
Make room for siblings, sleepovers and growing children with the Mathy By Bols Dominique Bunk Bed with Trundle & Tree Bookcase. Handmade to order in Belgium, it combines two single bunks, a pull-out trundle bed and a tree bookcase in one cleverly adaptable design. The bunk bed separates into two matching single beds when your children are ready for their own rooms. For overnight guests, the trundle rolls smoothly out from beneath the lower bunk and stores away again when the sleepover is over. You can also position the ladder and tree bookcase on either side to suit your room layout.
Key Features
- Separable bunk bed: Converts into two matching standalone single beds as your children grow.
- Pull-out trundle: Rolls smoothly on castors and stores neatly beneath the lower bunk when not in use.
- Six-corner tree bookcase: Provides playful open storage for books, toys and bedroom decorations.
- Reversible layout: The ladder and tree bookcase can be positioned on the left or right during assembly.
- Customisable colours: Choose from 26 water-based lacquer colours for the bed and a different accent colour for the bookcase.
- Slatted bases included: Supplied with wooden bed bases for the two main sleeping areas.

Questions & Answers (8)
Answers from the Bed Kingdom team.
Can the ladder/stairs/chaise be fitted on either side (left or right)?
Most of our bunk beds, high sleepers, mid sleepers and cabin beds are not reversible; they can only be assembled as shown in the product photos. A few models have reversible ladders or drawers, so ask us about the specific bed and we'll check.
What age is this bunk bed / high sleeper suitable for?
The top bunk of a bunk bed or high sleeper isn't suitable for children under 6 because of the risk of falls. Older children, teenagers and adults can use them as long as they are within the stated weight limit (including the mattress).
What is the weight limit of this bed?
Each bed's weight limit is listed on the product page and includes the weight of the mattress. For bunk beds, the limit is per bunk. Please don't exceed the stated limit.
What size mattress fits the trundle, and does the trundle come out separately?
Trundle mattress size and depth vary by bed; check the product page. Some trundles stay at floor level and don't rise to make a larger bed, so check the description, or ask us about the specific bed.
Can the bunk bed be split into two single beds?
Only beds described as 'detachable' can be separated into individual beds. Other bunk and triple beds can't be split.
How thick a mattress can I use / what mattress depth is recommended?
It depends on the bed; the recommended maximum mattress depth is given on the product page. For bunk beds, mid sleepers and high sleepers it is usually around 15-16 cm, so the safety rails stay effective.
Can I return an item if I change my mind, and how?
You can return an item within 14 days of delivery if you change your mind, as long as it is unassembled, unused and in its original packaging. Contact us with your order number and photos of the item and boxes, and we'll explain your options: we can arrange a collection, or you can return it yourself by tracked courier. Refunds are issued once the item is back and has been inspected. Collection charges may apply; our team will confirm.
You have 14 days to cancel and must pay the return costs. You can send it back yourself with a tracked courier, or we can collect it: collection costs £33 to £63 for items up to 180kg, plus £0.78 for every kg above 180kg, deducted from your refund. Products sealed for hygiene reasons can't be returned once unsealed, and made-to-order items can't be returned unless faulty. Full details are on our returns and cancellations page.
Do you offer next-day delivery, and what is the order cut-off time?
Yes, on in-stock items, Monday to Friday, to most of the UK. Order before 3pm for delivery the next working day. Items sent from our suppliers, and some postcodes, take longer; the product page shows the expected delivery time.
