Does it come with mattress
Unfortunately this bed does not come with a mattress.
In the oak one is it stained or a veneer and is the back made of lots of small pieces stuck together
It is stained oak and is made of Rubberwood & LVL/MDF.
Are both parts of the GFW Madrid Day Bed the same height?
Yes, both sections are the same height. Any difference you see in the photo is down to the thickness of the mattresses used.
What is the weight limit of this bed?
Each bed's weight limit is listed on the product page and includes the weight of the mattress. For bunk beds, the limit is per bunk. Please don't exceed the stated limit.
How thick a mattress can I use / what mattress depth is recommended?
It depends on the bed; the recommended maximum mattress depth is given on the product page. For bunk beds, mid sleepers and high sleepers it is usually around 15-16 cm, so the safety rails stay effective.
What size mattress do I need for this bed, and is it a standard UK size?
Each bed's product page states the mattress size it needs. Most of our beds take standard UK sizes (e.g. Single 90 x 190 cm, Small Double 120 x 190 cm), but some take continental sizes (e.g. 90 x 200 cm), so please check before ordering.
