Description

Do you wake up with achy hips or shoulders after a night on an unforgiving mattress? The Maxitex 1000 Pocket Sprung Memory Foam Mattress has a pressure-relieving memory foam layer that softly moulds to your body, so those pressure points get the cushioning they need. Underneath, more than 1,000 pocket springs arranged in three zones give targeted support where you need it most.

Comfort fibre and comfort foam add balanced cushioning, finished with a soft, breathable knitted cover. As a 1000 pocket sprung mattress with memory foam on top, it's a comfortable upgrade for a main bedroom or guest room, available in Double and Kingsize.

Key Features

  • Pressure-Relieving Memory Foam: A memory foam layer contours to your shape, easing pressure on hips and shoulders as you sleep.
  • 3-Zone Pocket Springs: Springs in three separate zones give each part of your body the support it needs.
  • Memory Foam Hybrid Comfort: Foam comfort layers over a sprung core give you cushioning and responsive support together.
  • Balanced Comfort Foam: A layer of comfort foam beneath the memory foam keeps the cushioning even across the mattress.
  • Soft Fibre and Knit: Comfort fibre under a knitted cover gives a soft, welcoming feel when you first lie down.

Questions & Answers (7)

Answers from the bedkingdom team.

How firm is this mattress?

Firmness is listed on each mattress's product page; for example, the Maxitex Deluxe Pocket Sprung Mattress is medium.

Is the mattress rolled/vacuum-packed and how long until it expands?

Vacuum-packed mattresses can look smaller than the stated dimensions while compressed. Once removed from the packaging, give the mattress enough time to expand fully before measuring it.

Are bed sizes the same as mattress sizes?

Not exactly. A bed is named after the mattress it holds (a king bed takes a king mattress), but the frame itself is a little bigger. Check the product page for the frame's overall dimensions.

Is a UK queen bed bigger than a double?

No. In the UK a queen is another name for a small double (120 x 190cm), which is 15cm narrower than a double. A US queen is a different, larger size.

What are the full dimensions of this product?

Full dimensions are on the product page, in the specifications and the dimension diagram; all measurements are approximate. If the measurement you need isn't listed, contact us and we'll check with the manufacturer.

What does the colour look like in real life / is it closer to X or Y?

Colours can look slightly different in photos because of lighting and screen settings. Where available, order a free fabric sample from the product page to see the colour in person.

What is this product made of?

The materials are listed in the specifications on each product page. If you need more detail, contact us with the product name and we'll check with the manufacturer.

A bed is named after the mattress size it's built to hold, so a king bed frame takes a king mattress. The frame itself is usually a little bigger. European (continental) sizes aren't the same as UK ones and can vary between brands.

Bunk beds and high sleepers have a maximum mattress depth set by the manufacturer, so the safety rail stays high enough.

Before you order, check the full dimensions on this product page and measure the space in your room.
