Description
Running out of places to keep spare bedding, books and bedside clutter? The Noomi Nexus is a white wooden ottoman bed that lifts on gas struts to reveal a large storage base split into four compartments.
Open shelves in the headboard work as a built-in bookcase, so a book, glasses or a small lamp sit within easy reach. It's made from painted pinewood and comes as a double ottoman bed or a king size ottoman bed to suit your room.
Key Features
- Gas Lift Storage: Gas struts lift the base smoothly, so spare bedding and clothes are easy to reach.
- Four Storage Compartments: Dividers keep bedding, clothes and shoes organised in four neat sections.
- Bookcase Headboard: Open shelves turn the headboard into a bookcase bed for books and bedside essentials.
- Painted Pinewood Frame: A sturdy pinewood frame makes this wooden ottoman bed a dependable choice for daily use.
- Floor-Level Base: The base sits right down to the floor, so dust and lost items cannot gather underneath.

Questions & Answers (8)
Answers from the bedkingdom team.
What is the weight limit of this bed?
Each bed's weight limit is listed on the product page and includes the weight of the mattress. For bunk beds, the limit is per bunk. Please don't exceed the stated limit.
How thick a mattress can I use / what mattress depth is recommended?
It depends on the bed; the recommended maximum mattress depth is given on the product page. For bunk beds, mid sleepers and high sleepers it is usually around 15-16 cm, so the safety rails stay effective.
Does the ottoman bed have a gas lift?
Our ottoman beds use gas struts (pistons) to help lift the base. If the lift sticks, place the mattress on the frame and apply gentle, steady pressure to compress the pistons, and check that the frame is properly aligned.
The pistons can become stuck in the open position because of pressure build-up. With the mattress on the frame, apply gentle, steady pressure to compress the pistons and release them, and check that the frame is properly aligned (misalignment can lock the pistons). If it still doesn't work, send us a short video and we'll help.
What size mattress do I need for this bed, and is it a standard UK size?
Each bed's product page states the mattress size it needs. Most of our beds take standard UK sizes (e.g. Single 90 x 190 cm, Small Double 120 x 190 cm), but some take continental sizes (e.g. 90 x 200 cm), so please check before ordering. Mattresses offered in a bed's mattress dropdown are suitable for that bed.
Does the bed come with a mattress?
Beds are sold without a mattress unless the listing says one is included. Mattresses are an optional add-on you can select on the product page.
Our bunk beds are sold without mattresses; mattresses are an optional add-on (unless the listing says one is included).
How high is the bed / clearance underneath / storage height?
Check the specifications and dimension diagram on the product page. If the measurement you need (such as under-bed or ottoman storage height) isn't listed, contact us and we'll check with the manufacturer.
Can you supply touch-up paint or the paint/RAL colour code for a bed?
Unfortunately, we don't have the colour code or paint details because the items are made for us by a supplier, so we can't confirm an exact touch-up paint colour or supply a swatch.
Do your ottoman beds have a slatted or solid base?
Our ottoman beds come with a slatted base. If you need a solid base, we have platform beds with a solid base (these aren't ottomans).
